How does Sikh Academy incorporate Sikh values?



Sikh values are woven into daily life through Gurbani recitation, Kirtan, seva (service), and celebrating Sikh religious and cultural events throughout the year.

Are extracurricular programs offered outside class hours?



Yes. Sikh Academy offers after-school tuition programs in English, Math, and Science, along with clubs and enrichment activities.

What extracurricular activities are offered?



Sikh Academy offers a wide variety of activities, including sports, music, Gurbani, Kirtan, Punjabi classes, cultural clubs, and academic competitions such as spelling bees and science fairs.

How does Sikh Academy support students with special needs?



Students with special needs receive support through Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). These are developed collaboratively by parents, teachers, specialists, and administration to ensure equitable access to education.

How does Sikh Academy ensure student safety?



The school follows all health, safety, and independent school standards. The building has controlled entry points, CCTV monitoring, and secure facilities to protect student well-being.

What facilities does Sikh Academy provide for students?



Our secure, modern campus includes controlled access and CCTV monitoring, playgrounds, Gurdwara Sahib, gymnasium, langar hall and cafeteria, computer lab, LST classrooms for academic support, sensory classrooms, library and a science lab.

What is the school uniform policy and how to purchase?



All students are required to wear the Sikh Academy uniform to school. Uniforms can be purchased year-round at the Sikh Academy school office and payments are accepted by cash, cheque, or debit/credit. Parents are encouraged to buy uniforms in the summer (June–August) to ensure sizes are available before September, but additional items may be purchased anytime during office hours. Please ensure all items follow Sikh Academy’s Dress Code Policy.

Does Sikh Academy provide bus service?



Yes, we provide one-way and two-way bus services. Please contact the office for routes and fees.

What are the school hours?



Classes run from 8:30 AM to 3:20 PM, Monday to Friday.

How do I register my child at Sikh Academy?



Please complete the registration form available on our website or visit the school office. Supporting documents (birth certificate, proof of address, and previous report cards) are required.

What curriculum does Sikh Academy follow?



We follow the BC Ministry of Education curriculum. In addition, Sikh Academy teaches Punjabi language, Gurbani, Kirtan, and Music as part of our enriched program.

What grades does Sikh Academy offer?



We currently offer Kindergarten to Grade 8 and will expand to Grade 9 in the 2026 school year.
